Vladimir Vasquez has more than 16 years of worldwide experience in the energy industry which include in drilling optimization, wellbore stability, real time monitoring, reservoir characterization, well productivity, production technology, geomechanics modelling, geothermal, data science.  

He holds a B.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Zulia, an M.Sc. in Petroleum Production from The Robert Gordon University.

He held several positions with companies such as Integrated Petroleum Services (Maracaibo), PDVSA S.A. (Maracaibo), Weatherford (Saudi Arabia & Argentine), EXLOG (Argentine).

His current technical focus is on artificial intelligence and data science applied to the energy industry specially in drilling operations and geomechanics.

He has authored or co-authored several articles and manuals for industry publications. Extremely dedicated to his field, his every effort is an attempt to promote the understanding and application of the geomechanics discipline.
